Health and Safety
Useful things to know
- 1. Face Painting takes between 5-10 minutes so please note the number of people in front of you and base your decision to wait on this. Please note: Once the line has closed, no more people will be painted. No exceptions.
- 2. The face paints that we use are professional water based and above all safe. They are hypoallergenic and have antibacterial properties and are designed for use on the face and body. All our face paints are EEC and FDA approved, so you know you will be getting the highest standard that is available to us. Safety to us is the most important factor when we are painting on any person, from a small child to a full grown adult. All of our equipment is cleaned after each event.
- 3. If you think a child may be sensitive to the face paint, then we will offer a small patch test on the arm. This will be left for 30 minutes. If there is no reaction we will paint the person. We will not be liable should any person react to our paints at any time.
- 4. The face paints are easily removed with soap and water or baby wipes. Some colors may stain the skin temporarily.
- 5. We ask that the person who is going to be painted have a clean face.
- 6. We will not paint children with cold sores, runny noses, open wounds or those people who seem unwell. We will of course offer an alternative i.e. to be painted on their arm with a design of their choice.
- 7. We will not paint any child under the age of 3 years as some products are not suitable for their skin. Children´s skin under 3 is sensitive and the immune system is still in development.
- 8. We will not paint any child who clearly indicates they do not wish to be painted (this includes sleepy children). Despite any parent´s request, we will not paint against the wishes of the child. Face Painting should be a fun experience for children and adults alike.
- 9. Please do not let children to touch the work table, paints and equipment in the face painting area. We will not be liable for any damage or injuries should this occur.
- 10. Please do not leave children unattended in the face painting area, we are not child minders. Children´s behaviour and safety are the responsibility of the clients or the parents attending the event.
- 11. We reserve the right to refuse to paint any person or part of a person we feel is unsuitable, or with what we consider offensive symbols or subjects. We will not paint anyone who is abusive, violent or intoxicated.
